KINGSPORT — The 2013 Kingsport Christmas Parade will begin at 3:15 p.m. Saturday, just minutes after the arrival of the CSX Santa Train.The parade will begin at the corner of Main and Cherokee streets, proceeding down Main, turning right on Clay Street. From there, the parade will go right onto Center Street and disband at the corner of Wexler and Market streets.The Santa Train, which is making its 71st annual run from Kentucky to Kingsport, is scheduled to arrive in the Model City at 3:08 p.m.The Kingsport Chamber of Commerce said 120 entrants have registered to be in the parade, with floats from Eastman Chemical Co., Indian Path Medical Center, LampLight Theatre and Inner City Ballet. The Titanic exhibit from Pigeon Forge is scheduled to be in the parade, along with Miss Kingsport and the marching bands of Dobyns-Bennett, Sullivan North and Sullivan South high schools.Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey is the parade grand marshal.
