A Cherokee Road man was arrested Wednesday after he assaulted a relative with a wooden chair, Johnson City police said in a news release.
Arbey Lopez, 28, 1412 Cherokee Road, was charged with aggravated domestic assault.
Police said Lopez fled before officers arrived but later turned himself in. He was jailed at the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond and arraigned Thursday in Sessions Court.
