Police said one person was possibly injured following a vehicle crash Friday afternoon.
A Johnson City Police Department accident report said Jamey Vinyard, 54, of Johnson City, was turning his 1998 Isuzu Trooper right on State of Franklin Road into Regions Bank at around 3:15 p.m., when he was struck from behind by a 2006 Nissan Frontier, driven by Brady Horton, 18, of Jonesborough. The report said Horton was following improperly.
The impact flipped Vinyard’s vehicle on its side. Vinyard reported no injuries, but a female passenger in the vehicle was possibly injured in the crash, police said. More details were not available. Horton and his 15-year-old passenger also reported no injuries.
Horton was charged with a violation of the financial responsibility law and following too closely.
