Johnson City police and fire personnel responded to a crash Wednesday night after a vehicle carrying two adults and two children ran into a West Walnut Street home.
According to JCPD Sgt. Tim Parker, a Chevy Trailblazer was traveling eastbound toward State of Franklin Road around 7:15 p.m. and had just pulled out of a home, approximately three houses down on the other side of the street, when the driver lost control.
The Trailblazer then hit a fence line on the right side of the road, before crossing over both lanes through a metal fence and hitting the front of the home at 2604 W. Walnut St.
Parker said a man was driving the Trailblazer, which also had a woman and two small children inside the vehicle.
The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. The woman and two children in the vehicle, as well as the residents inside the home, were reportedly not injured during the crash, police said.
The Trailblazer reportedly knocked out a pillar on the front porch of the home.
Parker said speed was most likely a factor in the crash, and said drugs and alcohol were suspected.
The names of those involved in the crash have not yet been released.
