Kenneth Gough thinks people who want and sign up for insurance through the Affordable Care Act are “useful idiots” because they are responsible and want health insurance for themselves and their families. I am sure Gough, as an employer in Johnson City, provides his employees health insurance and since he keeps up with everything happening in China, I am sure he keeps up with the fact that he pays an extra $1,000 a year in premiums per employee to offset the cost of people with no insurance. I guess that makes him a useful idiot. Doing research through Google, I found Gough and his sister did a interview with PBS a few years ago and they complained, as small business owners, they were having trouble handling the huge increases in health care cost for their company. It was affecting their bottom line. Now, we have a president trying to curb these cost by making everyone pay their fair share and he is still complaining. I am not as educated as Gough, but I have sense enough to know you can’t have it both ways. KENNETH T. FORTUNEErwin
