A neighbor’s alert helped Johnson City police arrest a man on a burglary charge late Sunday.
Christopher Scott Davis, 36, no address available, was arrested after the incident at 1406 E. Myrtle Ave.
About 11:40 p.m., police were called to that address regarding a possible burglary in progress. They spoke with a neighbor, Tyler B. Baker, 29, who reported that he heard loud banging noises coming from the house. When he looked out the window, he saw a white car and a man in a hooded sweatshirt on the back porch.
Baker told police he heard glass breaking and then saw a white care leaving.
Police stopped the vehicle a short distance away and arrested Davis, who reportedly had a dark hoodie on and had gloves in his rear pocket.
Charged with aggravated burglary, Davis was held in the Washington County Detention Center on $20,000 bond.
