Johnson City police arrested a 22-year-old Piney Flats man after an accusation that he vandalized a vehicle last week in north Johnson City.
Justin E. Lane, 649 Austin Springs Rd, Piney Flats, was charged with vandalism over $1,000.
Police said Lane's arrest followed an investigation into vehicle vandalism that occurred Aug. 9 on Mountcastle Drive.
According to a report, Keith Majeski told police he was in his home at 603 E. Mountcastle Drive about 3 a.m. when he heard a loud noise and saw a man walking down his driveway. The man then walked south down Mountcastle.
Police found that a rock had been thrown through Majeski's 2006 Porsche Boxter 986's passenger window. The rock was still in the passenger seat.
Majeski described the man he had seen to police, who found a man matching the description walking on East Lakeview soon after the incident. Police interviewed the man and released him.
Lane was arrested Wednesday and jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $10,000 bond. He was arraigned Thursday in Sessions Court.
