A city man was charged Wednesday evening with gun and drug charges after a short foot pursuit, Johnson City police said in a news release.
Jermiah Greenlee, 207 W. 8th Ave., was charged with possessing a firearm during commission/attempt to commit a dangerous felony, evading arrest, resisting arrest, driving on a suspended license, alteration of serial numbers on a firearm, a schedule III drug violation and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Police say they observed Greenlee driving and knew he had outstanding warrants for his arrest. Police made contact with Greenlee at the RoadRunner Shell Gas Station at 607 Twin Oaks Drive, where police say Greenlee fled on food from officers before being taken into custody.
Police said they found a loaded handgun and schedule III drugs in Greenlee’s pockets. He was booked at the Washington County Detention Center on a $26,000 bond. He was arraigned Thursday in Washington County Sessions Court.
