A report of a reckless driver led Johnson City police Saturday to arrest a man on drug and gun charges.
Cody Deshaun Bradley , 21, 205 E. Fairview Ave., was found with a loaded .22 caliber revolver and cocaine, police said in a news release.
Police went to the parking lot at 510 Bert St. about 9:20 p.m. in reference to a reckless driver and found Bradley and three other people in a vehicle matching the description.
Bradley was charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance (cocaine) and a weapon violation. He was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $5,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday.
In a similar incident last May, Bradley was charged with possession with the intent to distribute schedule VI drugs and possession of drug equipment. Police spotted an occupied, parked car in the lot at South Roan Service Center, 1202 S. Roan Street, which had been recently burglarized, police said at the time.
While speaking with the car's occupants, police spotted a small piece of marijuana on the center console. After asking Bradley, a passenger who was on probation, to exit the car, police found six small bags of marijuana and a digital scale in his possession, police said in a report.
In searching the car, police also found a glass pipe used for smoking marijuana, which Bradley also said was his, according to the report.
