Two accused of hurting man with broken bottle

Two Johnson City men were arrested Friday for allegedly cutting another man with a broken beer bottle.

According to a release from the Johnson City Police Department, officers were sent to Davis Trailer Park, Lot No. 4, around 11 p.m. When they arrived, they found a man at the residence had suffered a cut to his side and abrasions to his face.

The man told police he had been involved in an altercation with Jose Avila Tapia and Jaime Tapia, both of 1505 Cherokee Road, and had been cut with the broken bottle.

Officers arrested the men with Jose Avila Tapia being charged with aggravated assault and Jaime Tapia being charged with assault.

The men were transported to the Washington County Detention Center, where Jose Avila Tapia was held on $20,000 bond and Jaime Tapia was held on $1,000 bond. Both men are scheduled to be arraigned in Sessions Court on Monday.
