A Morristown man was caught with methamphetamine and some knives in a Johnson City traffic stop on Saturday, police said in a news release.
Garrett Short, 28, 2771 Turley Mill Road, Morristown, was arrested as police searched a vehicle stopped at the intersection of E. Poplar and Claibourne streets.
Police said the vehicle occupants consented to the search, and Short had 3.6 grams of methamphetamine, numerous items of drug paraphernalia and three straight-blade knives.
He was charged with possession of schedule II drugs, possession of unlawful drug paraphernalia and unlawful carrying or possessing of a weapon.
Short was jailed in the Washington County Detention Center on $3,000 bond pending a Sessions Court appearance Monday.
